How to factory reset a Roku TV
A factory reset erases everything — your channels, accounts, and settings — and returns the Roku to how it shipped. Only do it when you're selling or giving the device away, or as a last resort for a problem nothing else fixes.
From the settings menu
- Press Home, then go to Settings › System › Advanced system settings.
- Select Factory reset (on a Roku TV, Factory reset everything).
- Enter the 4-digit code shown on screen to confirm.
- Leave the TV plugged in while it resets and reboots.
Using the physical reset button
If the screen or remote isn't responding, find the reset button on the back or bottom of the device — a tactile button on some models, a recessed pinhole (press with a paperclip) on others. Press and hold it for about 20 seconds until the indicator light blinks. Note: some newer Roku TVs reset by holding the Power and Find-My-Remote buttons together instead.
