How to adjust the picture settings on a Roku TV
You can tune a Roku TV's picture globally or per input, and even while a show is playing. A few tweaks make a big difference for movies, sports, and gaming.
Adjust while watching
- Press the Star/Options button during playback to open Picture settings.
- Choose a Picture mode — Normal for everyday viewing, Movie for film, Vivid for bright rooms.
- Fine-tune brightness, contrast, and color to taste; settings can be saved per input.
For 4K and HDR
On a 4K Roku TV, make sure the HDMI input is set to the higher-bandwidth mode (Settings › TV inputs › your input › HDMI mode › Auto or 2.0/2.1) so 4K and HDR sources display correctly. Use a high-speed HDMI cable for 4K HDR content.
