How to connect Bluetooth headphones to a Roku
There are two paths to headphone audio on a Roku, and which you use depends on your model. The phone method works on essentially any Roku.
Option 1 — Private listening through your phone (works on any Roku)
- Connect the Roly app to your Roku over the same Wi-Fi network.
- Pair your headphones (AirPods, Bluetooth, or wired) with your phone.
- Tap the Headphones button in the app — the TV audio moves to your headphones.
Option 2 — Direct Bluetooth (supported models only)
Some newer Roku devices — including certain Roku Ultra, Streambar, and recent Roku TVs — support pairing Bluetooth headphones directly, without a phone. If yours does, you'll find the option under the audio/remote settings. Models without it can still use Option 1.
